So I've talked about doing a surprise this pregnancy and now I am going to share my SURPRISE with all our Family and Friends!! ;) Turns out that my Hubby and I are strong enough to endure deployments and separations, but not strong enough to make it through a whole pregnancy without knowing the gender of our baby!! (((SURPRISE!!!))) lol
Baby #3 is a not so shy... BOY!!
We have gone back and forth on whether to find out the gender or to keep it a surprise. Something deep inside wanted to wait and do the surprise, even though my Hubby didn't really wanna do a surprise. There was also a strong urge inside of me that wanted to know too and it was just one of those things where it was meant for us to know this time.
Our 1st view of him on the screen was his butt and legs, I looked straight at Hubby with a surprised look on my face, he winked and smiled back and we both just knew... (after 2 babies, the Dr didn't have to tell us what was between the legs LOL) It was pretty obvious that we have another boy on the way!!
The Dr asked later after taking all her pictures and measurements, if we wanted to know for sure... We laughed and said if we saw what we think we did, then we know. She smiled and then confirmed and showed us a few more shots of his body so we could see his arms, legs, feet, hands, ears, spine, head, heart, boy parts and his umbilical cord too. Looked like a healthy baby boy.
I've had a very strong BOY feeling for a little while, it just felt like a boy and all the signs pointed to boy, except for my dreams. My dreams all said girl.. I've been eating sirloin steak, garlic mashed potatoes, beef jerky and meatloaf like it is going out of style. Any type of chocolate or ice cream has sent me to the bathroom sick. Not fun, so we have been steering clear of sweets and filling up on salts instead. ;)
I took every gender quiz or old wives tale known and they all pointed to boy as well, not to mention I am carrying closer to how I carried Ryan then when I carried Aubrey and I have felt pretty great, aside from the occasional headache. (With Aubrey I was sick all day everyday and with Ryan I felt awesome, with a few headaches.) So not only were my Mommy instincts thinking boy, but all the signs and signals were telling me boy too.
We are all so excited. Aubrey was a little bummed at first, (she really wanted a little sister) but she is still so excited about adding a baby to our family and is already talking about going baby shopping with Mommy. Ryan was so thrilled when we told him he was going to have a little brother, he already offered to share his room!
We have his name all picked out and still have our girl name too, just in case! ;) (Those boy parts were pretty obvious though!) Ha Ha.. :)
We are so excited to add another little boy to our Family!! We cant wait to meet him in July!! (Only 20 more weeks!) :)

p.s. I just realized that the Chinese Gender Predictor chart has been exact for all 3 of my pregnancies so far! So crazy! ;)
